What’s the difference between gutter screens and leaf guards?

“Leaf guard” is a broad marketing term covering multiple product types — screens, micro-mesh, foam, brush, and reverse-curve. “Gutter screens” specifically refers to a perforated or mesh cover placed over the gutter opening.
