What Is Shingle Rejuvenation?
Asphalt shingles age because the asphalt binder loses the flexible oils that help the shingle bend, shed water, and hold its protective granules. Once a roof gets brittle, it is more likely to crack, shed granules, lose seal-tab strength, and trigger insurance concerns.
Bio-based shingle rejuvenation uses a plant-derived oil treatment, commonly soybean-oil chemistry in this industry, to penetrate qualifying asphalt shingles and help restore flexibility. The goal is not to paint or coat the roof. The goal is to recondition the asphalt in shingles that are aging but not failed.
Sarge's process goes beyond spraying product on a dirty roof. We inspect first, clean safely, clear gutters, coordinate tree trimming when needed, reseal flashings, replace damaged shingles, and then apply the rejuvenation treatment only if the roof is a candidate.
Who this is for: Homeowners with asphalt shingle roofs around 10 to 18 years old that are still structurally sound but showing early wear. It is especially important for 2011-era roofs now crossing the Florida 15-year insurance threshold.
