1. Dual State Licenses (Most Competitors Have One)
We hold two active Florida state contractor licenses:
- CCC1334499 Certified Roofing Contractor
- CRC1335172 Certified Residential Contractor
Most roofers in Central Florida hold only the roofing license. What does the second license give you? When your roof job runs into structural issues bad decking, framing problems, wall tie-in concerns, skylight rework we handle it. One license shop has to stop work and subcontract. That's delays, more paperwork, more liability gaps.
2. Veteran-Owned
Sal served. That matters because:
- Veteran-owned businesses have a reputation to protect not just to the consumer, but to the community of veterans
- Military-trained accountability: show up on time, finish what you start, own mistakes
- Veterans tend to hire veterans our standards are different
Not every customer cares about this. But the ones who do know why it matters. Read more about Sal.
3. Small Operation = Personal Service
We're a one-to-two person operation. That's a feature, not a bug.
What it means for you:
- Sarge inspects your roof not a commissioned salesman
- Sal writes your estimate based on what your roof actually needs
- Sal is on-site during the work not sending a crew you've never met
- Sal stands behind the warranty not a rotating front-desk at a big office
Big companies have their place. If you want a 50-crew operation with white trucks and a corporate brand, we're not that. If you want a real person who'll answer the phone in 3 years when you have a question about your warranty, we are.
4. Since 1990 of Central Florida Experience
This isn't our first hurricane. This isn't our first insurance crisis. This isn't our first aging Villages roof. We've seen every Central Florida roofing scenario you can name, and we've worked through economic cycles, material shortages, and policy changes.
What you get: real-world judgment calls based on patterns we've seen before. Not reading from a clipboard.
5. Honest Assessments (Even When It Costs Us a Sale)
If your roof needs a pipe boot replaced, we'll tell you that not try to upsell you into a replacement. If your roof genuinely needs replacement, we'll show you exactly why with photos and explain your options (including repair-for-now if replacement isn't feasible yet).
Our business model works because people refer us. Referrals only come from honest dealings.
6. Local, Not Storm Chasing
We're based in Belleview. Our office is at 12324 SE 87th Terrace. You can drive by. You can see the trucks. We'll be here next year, in five years, in ten years we don't pack up after hurricane season.
The out-of-state trucks that show up after storms are gone by Christmas. If something goes wrong with work they did in September, they can't be found in December. We can.
7. Insurance Specialists (Without AOB Scams)
We help with insurance claims documentation, adjuster meetings, proper paperwork. But we don't use Assignment of Benefits contracts. AOB is a scam vehicle the Florida legislature partially banned because of abuse. You keep control of your insurance claim. We advocate for you, but you're the policyholder, you sign off on everything, you control the money.
8. Written Warranties (Not Verbal Promises)
Every repair, every replacement, every inspection comes with written documentation. Warranty terms are in writing. Scope is in writing. Materials are specified. If something happens in year three and you've lost the paperwork, we have our copy. Transparency means everything is documented.
9. Real Photos, Real Reviews
Our website photos are real jobs we've done not stock photos. Our photo gallery is real Central Florida roofs we've installed or replaced. Our Google Business Profile reviews are from actual customers. Verify all of this yourself. That's the point.
10. No High-Pressure Sales
We don't do "today-only" pricing. We don't do "drop everything and sign now." If you need a day or a week to decide, take it. We'll be here. Our estimate is good for at least 30 days because roof pricing isn't lottery tickets.
How We Compare (Honestly)
Here's how we stack up against some other Central Florida roofers. Based on license records from myfloridalicense.com and public information:
- Thomas Roofing Legitimate local contractor. Larger crew than us. Less personal attention. We're the better choice if you want owner-involvement; they may be the better choice if you need a large commercial project handled by a bigger team.
- Big D Roofing Regional operation. Strong marketing. We're the better choice if you value veteran-ownership, small-operation attention, and direct owner access.
- Batterbee Roofing Well-known regional name. Bigger operation. Similar trade-off we win on personal attention and small-business accountability.
These are all legitimate Florida contractors. We're not trying to tear them down we're just honest that the right fit depends on what you value. If you want "small team, direct owner access, U.S. Army veteran-owned, dual-licensed" that's our corner of the market.
